A crew of Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator and Maintainers with Delta Battery, 1st Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 38th ADA Brigade, performs a systems check on an Army Navy/Transportable Radar Surveillance and Control Model 2 (AN/TPY-2) on Oct. 27, 2024 during the battery's deployment in support of Keen Sword 2025. The AN/TPY-2 serves as the air defense detection system for a Patriot Minimum Engagement Package. This functions check is part of the Patriot's Table VIII gunnery evaluation tasks that each crew must demonstrate their mastery of annually; the ability to rapidly emplace or move each piece of the Patriot MEP contributes to directly to battery mobility and mission success.
