Kendal Carr, the wife of Alabama Air National Guard pilot Lt. Col. Jason Carr, former commander of the 117th Operation Support Squadron, turns the firehose onto her husband after he completed his fini flight behind the controls of a KC-135R from the 117th Air Refueling Wing, Sumpter Smith Joint National Guard Base, Birmingham, Ala., Oct. 29, 2024. Carr is retiring from the military after serving more than 20 years and took his fini flight as co-worker, friends and family awaited his return with water hoses at the ready.
