U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Fabian Lovera, an automotive maintenance technician with 3rd Maintenance Battalion (3rd Maint. Bn.), 3rd Marine Logistics Group, plots points on a map for a land navigation course during a battalion field exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 9, 2024. The purpose of the exercise was to train and familiarize the Marines of 3rd Maint. Bn. on staging procedures, M240B medium machine gun capabilities, land navigation through rough terrain, attacking and defending areas of interest, and a battalion hike to foster force endurance.
