Jesse Tubb, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) advisory board member and retired U.S. Army master sergeant with The United States Army Band at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH), guides a Gold Star child through an obstacle course while blindfolded during the 30th annual TAPS National Seminar and Good Grief Camp May 25, 2024, on Summerall Field, JBM-HH, Virginia. Tubb said the sporting events were designed to teach the Gold Star kids how to ask for help, trust people they don’t know, make friends and apply these valuable communication skills at home and school while dealing with their grief.
