Sgt. Malik Childs, a medical laboratory specialist assigned to Munson Army Health Center, Fort Leavenworth Kansas, prepares to collect a blood sample from a Soldier in the lab during a medical readiness processing event earlier this year. Munson’s medical laboratory recently scored exceptionally well during its College of American Pathologists accreditation. The two-person inspection team spent two days at Munson examining the laboratory’s records and quality control procedures to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients.
