EVERETT, Wash. (Aug. 26, 2024) – Lt. Cmdr. James Bernsen, intelligence officer assigned to the 7th Fleet Intelligence Unit, stands aboard the pier near The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS John S. McCain (DDG-56). Bernsen, a Navy Reservist from Castroville, Texas, has served nearly two decades in the Navy Reserve, contributing to operations worldwide, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76).
