Rachel Davis, 81st Contracting Squadron contracting officer, receives a certificate from Col. Davis plays a key role in supporting the 403rd Wing’s unit training assembly by expediting a time sensitive lodging blanket purchase agreement worth $250,000. She has also volunteered to provide a two hour training covering ordering procedures for 11 Blanket Purchase Agreements, accommodating five traditional reservist’s schedules outside of her regular duty hours. Davis has executed purchases for deployment gear totaling $57,000 and has also processed five Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests worth $375,000, supporting the 479th Flying Training Group’s combat system officer training and 350 graduates per year. Lastly, she lead a 10 hour, five member planning committee for the unit’s first ever construction industry day, vetting 38 small businesses, driving changes to future acquisition processes, saving an estimated cost of 15%.
