Anne Auger, medical laboratory technician, Keesler Blood Center, Biloxi, Miss., draws blood from a USS Bougainville (LHA 8) Sailor during its inaugural blood drive at the Ingalls Shipyard, Pascagoula, Miss., Nov. 13. “We chose this location because it provides a new partnership with our Navy counterparts that are in the region, expanding our donor population and increasing the volume of blood products that Keesler can provide to the warfighters around the globe,” said U.S. Air Force Maj. Ryan P. Combs, Keesler Blood Donor Center officer in charge. “This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for the Keesler BDC that is unique to our area because of the mission that Ingalls does for the Navy,” Combs said.
