Jamile Shaheen, a medical support assistant with the Fort Carson Soldier Recovery Unit, works at the SRU's front desk and is often the first person a Soldier in Recovery meets upon arrival for inprocessing. The SRU manages the recovery of wounded, ill and injured Soldiers requiring complex care. The SRU also provides resources and advocacy for families and caregivers of Soldiers recovering in the program.
