Josh Kelly, a mechanic in the Module Repair Section (Shop 67) is a 2M certifier capable of model test, repair and development. Kelly, who joined the shipyard in February 2024, explains what brought him to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, “[I’ve been doing this kind of work] since 1999 and I like the climate here. Before I was an instructor but now I’m actually doing the job again which is what I wanted to do. I taught for four years and now I’m back fixing things.”
