Mike Walsh, a research mechanical engineer with the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory of Hanover, N.H., opens a plastic bag containing a block of ice that will be used as a control subject in a high order detonation test in Eagle River Flats, Feb. 19, 2013.
