U.S. Army National Guardsmen Pfc. Daileny Torres, from New Jersey, and Pfc. Trinity Walton, from Connecticut, pose for a photo before meeting their assigned families during registration of Mission Thanksgiving. The privates are attending medical advanced individual training at Fort Sam Houston, TX to become 68W Combat Medics. This year marks the return of the event since 2019 when it was suspended during the COVID pandemic. The U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence invites local families to host soldiers for Thanksgiving. For many soldiers, will be their first major holiday away from their home and family. The 32d Medical Brigade, the largest training brigade in the Army, organized the operation.
