The 2d Theater Signal Brigade Spotlight shines on U.S. Army Sgt. Denise Au, Small Scalable Node Team Chief, 1st Platoon, Alpha Company, 44th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced.
Sergeant Au’s technical expertise is a cornerstone of her leadership. She demonstrated this in her team’s validation during Battalion Table VI, achieving the fastest time within the Platoon in under 30 minutes. Despite her team being the only one without SAT time for the duration of the training progression, and having only a few days to practice with her team prior to validations, she led them to this achievement.
As a Unit Prevention Leader for the Company, Sergeant Au plays a crucial role in ensuring the program complies with AR 600-85. Her commitment to the well-being of her unit is evident in her leadership skills and her ability to excel at any mission for which she is responsible, embodying the spirit of an Avenger.
