U.S. Air National Guard Col. Ryan Dannemann, the commander of the 105th Airlift Wing, hands Lt. Col. Curtis, the commander of the 105th Base Defense Group, the BDG flag to represent its activation at Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, New York, Dec. 7, 2024. In a historic restructuring, the 105th BDG is the first of its kind in the Air Reserve Component and now consists of the 105th Base Defense Squadron, 105th Security Support Squadron and 205th Base Defense Squadron.
