Lenny Williams, the Assistant Adjutant General - Army of the Illinois National Guard and the Commander of the Illinois Army National Guard, State Command Sergeant Major Michael Kelly and State Command Chief Warrant Officer CW5 Thomas Black present Staff Sgt. Chanc McEstes with an award at the Illinois Army National Guard's Recruiting and Retention Battalion's annual awards banquet on Nov. 16 in Peoria. McEstes, the "Rookie of the Year" was the Illinois Army National Guard's second-best recruiter in fiscal year 2024 and was inducted into the "Minuteman Club" at the silver level. The Illinois Army National Guard's recruiting cadre celebrated their successes, shared information, and enjoyed a night of comradery.
