California State Guard Staff Sgt. Carmen Johnson, a military field liaison from the 129th Support Group, coordinates mission sustainment with maintainers and aircrew members from the California Air National Guard’s 129th Rescue Wing, Jan. 10, 2025, at Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, Calif., during the wing’s activation for wildfire support operations in the greater Los Angeles area. Military field liaisons help with coordination between the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and the Cal Guard.
