Crews begin placing rebar framework for fronting protection of the Port Acres Pumping Station on the existing Port Arthur levee in late December. The work is part of the Port Arthur Vicinity 03A Project. The work is part of other flood mitigation upgrades to strengthen the levee, which was originally constructed between 1966 to 1983.
