U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Area's Women, Peace and Security (WPS) team introduced planners and operators to WPS fundamentals and ways to create new opportunities for security cooperation throughout the region. WPS is a United Nations Security Council framework, U.S. law and DHS policy focused on advancing the full, equal and meaningful participation of women at all levels of peacebuilding, security and decision-making processes to achieve sustainable global peace and security.
