PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 20, 2024) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) walk the jackstaff across the fo’c’sle to the bow (front) of the Benfold, January 20. The jackstaff was raised in preparation of Benfold’s arrival into Subic Bay, Philippines. Benfold is forward deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s Largest DESRON and U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
