U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jesus Gonzalez with Combined Anti-Armor Team, Battalion Landing Team 2/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, calculates the direction of targets during Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) and Combined Anti-Armor Team training on Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 1, 2025. LAR sets up security in preparation for a live fire range during a six-day field operation. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
