Commanding Officer Capt. Christopher Matassa and Technical Director Larry Tarasek present Command Coins to the UEM Systems Calibration Trial team at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division in West Bethesda, Md., Feb. 11, 2025.
The team was recognized for completing the USS Montana (SSN 794) Underwater Electromagnetic Systems Calibration Trial over the 2024 Thanksgiving weekend, which ensured the submarine's stealth capabilities before its interfleet transfer to the Pacific and allowed the crew to spend the Christmas and New Years holidays with their families.
