Later in the evening, at the Egmont Palace, Chapalins gathered for the closing ceremony of the 36th annual International Military Chiefs of Chaplains Conference, focusing on freedom of thought, educational programs, and dialogue between religious and philosophical institutions.
The International Military Chiefs of Chaplains Conference (IMCCC) began in 1990 to unite senior military chaplains in supporting those affected by combat; today, it strengthens international relations, enhances spiritual care, advises commanders on religion in theater, and promotes religious freedom—now including dozens of countries, with IMCCC 2025 hosting 200 participants from 43 nations.
