    Rick Holland, son of U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Melvin Holland, sits on the summit of Phou Pha Thi during a visit to Laos, Jan. 24, 2025. Rick’s father is an unaccounted-for Airmaen from the Vietnam War, one of eight associated with Lima Site 85, or Phou Pha Thi. Holland was killed during an attack by the North Vietnamese Army which resulted in the deaths of 11 Airmen, making it the largest single ground-combat loss of US Air Force personnel during the Vietnam War.
