Spc. Alexis Pantoja, 23, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist, and patient with the Fort Bliss Soldier Recovery Unit, creates a painting using scraping techniques during an art therapy class. The class, taught by Col. Mitzi Rivera, an Army nurse and fellow patient, uses the classes as a way to get the Soldiers to open up and express themselves through their art, enabling healing of a different kind.
