DCSA polygraph instructor Mark Pszenny performs during a live video shoot of songs he wrote – ‘Baby Cries’ and ‘Trouble with the Man’ – at Copy Cat Studios in Boiling Springs, S.C., on Feb. 13, 2025.
He began playing a unique genre of music as therapy to help overcome decades of chronic health adversities and multiple surgeries. Pszenny’s blues-jazz-rock music quickly captured the attention of thousands of listeners in the U.S. and internationally who tune in via radio as well as internet social and listening platforms.
“I played music my whole life but never wrote songs until recently putting my thoughts and feelings into words,” said Pszenny while commending his DCSA supervisors and leadership with enabling his success at the agency’s National Center for Credibility Assessment and a part-time career as a musician.
In 2024, his signature ‘Smokey Bourbon’ album secured the number 45 position among the top 200 blues-rock albums nationally after making the top 50 albums each week for 11 months. Meanwhile, his first release – self titled, ’The Pszenny Project’ – reached 58 on the charts.
