Medical personnel with Expeditionary Medical Facility (EMF) 150-Alpha receive a live actor patient wearing a surgical “cut suit” with iliac artery and bowel injury, and a right leg amputation, mimicking trauma caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion, during an EMF training and Operational Readiness Evaluation (ORE) conducted at Naval Expeditionary Medicine Warfighter Development Center (NEMWDC), Camp Pendleton, Calif., Feb. 15-28.
