KARS, Turkey - U.S. Army Colonel (Dr.) Jeremy Johnson (pictured left), the chief of staff for Medical Readiness Command, Europe travelled to Kars, Turkey recently where he observed Winter Exercise 2025 hosted by the Turkish Land Forces. Johnson was among more than 100 senior military medical leaders from several allied and partner nations who visited the exercise. U.S. Army medical soldiers stationed in Germany were among the multinational participants in the exercise. The overall focus of the exercise was to test the combat capabilities of the participating units including live fire in deep snow and severe cold temperatures. The exercise was also designed to increase and advance the operational capacities of participants, as well as strengthening interoperability in joint operations among international partners.
