PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Mar 11, 2025) – Cmdr. Marvin Mitchell, director of psychological health, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC), Camp Pendleton, provides training on Talkspace, a behavioral health care company, which has partnered with the U.S. Navy to launch a pilot program at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) allowing Sailors to access therapy and mental health care through Talkspace's licensed providers for free. NBVC is major shore warfighting platform; providing sustained ready forces to deploy, fight, and win. Composed of three operating facilities: Point Mugu, Port Hueneme and San Nicolas Island and home of the Pacific Seabees, West Coast E-2D Hawkeyes, 3 warfare centers and 110 tenant commands.(U.S. Navy photo by Master-at-Arms 1st Class Jon Cason)
