PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Mar 11, 2025) – Cmdr. Marvin Mitchell, director of psychological health, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC), Camp Pendleton, speaks with Capt. Dan "DB" Brown, commanding officer, Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC), during training on Talkspace, a behavioral health care company, which has partnered with the U.S. Navy to launch a pilot program at NBVC allowing Sailors to access therapy and mental health care through Talkspace's licensed providers for free. NBVC is major shore warfighting platform; providing sustained ready forces to deploy, fight, and win.
