Pensacola, FL - NIOC Pensacola’s Warrior of the Week is CWT2 Gerald!
Originally from Georgia, Petty Officer Gerald has been in the Navy for 5½ years and has been onboard NIOC Pensacola for about a year and a half. CWT2 Gerald has made a substantial and multifaceted impact on his team here at NIOC Pensacola. His proactive approach to process improvement led to the development of automated workflows for his team, which significantly streamlined the completion of certain tasks by over 50%. Petty Officer Gerald has also become quite the technically-minded analyst, even going so far as to hold training sessions for his teammates and increasing their tradecraft knowledge as well. Beyond his technical contributions, CTW2 Gerald was recently elected as the MWR Committee’s Fundraiser Coordinator, a key role in the planning and execution of major morale-boosting events throughout the year. Fun Fact: CWT2 Gerald enjoys building models and craft projects; he often uses his lunch break to work on his next project – which right now is a Gundam model.
