Jonathan Martinez assigned to the 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regiment, pulls a simulated wounded Soldier into a secure landing zone as he completes the “Mogadishu Challenge,” on March 15, 2025, during the 2025 Oregon National Guard Best Warrior Competition, held at Camp Rilea, near Warrenton, Oregon. The three days of BWC events assessed the warriors' physical fitness, land navigation skills, marksmanship, and other battlefield scenarios.
