U.S. Army Reserve Brig. Gen. Craig McFarland, the Deputy Commanding General, 3D Theater Medical Command, has been serving his country for 35 years, beginning with his time at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York and culminating in a career with deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Qatar and over a dozen awards to his name. In his civilian employment, McFarland practices anesthesia at the Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
