Sgt. 1st Class Jared Alvarado, a talent manager serving in the Reserve Personnel Management Directorate at the U.S. Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Ky., tore his labrum and dislocated his shoulder while competing for Adjutant General Corps Soldier of the Year in 2024. Using the skills he learned in the master resiliency training course to get in the right mindset, Alvarado recovered from his injury and will take on the competition this year.
