Marines listen and exchange ideas before making their way through the Guam jungle March 19 on NCTS during field training exercises during Guahan Shield. Guahan Shield is an exercise designed to facilitate multiservice engagements, set conditions for training opportunities involving two or more parties, as well as support rapid response to potential crises and military operations in the Asia-Pacific region. The Marines are with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, deployed under the Unit Deployment Program to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
