    Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 11

    Members from MSRON 11 FWD participated in the Marine Corps Water Survival Course at Naval Amphibious Base (NAB). In addition to those completing the basic course, several members also earned the Advanced Water Survival Qualification. Pictured from left to right are:

    The Advanced Water Survival Qualification includes the following requirements:

    25-meter swim: Demonstrates basic swimming ability.

    10-foot tower jump: Simulates jumping overboard from a compromised ship.

    4-minute float: Tests the ability to stay afloat for an extended period.

    9-second shallow water gear shed: Demonstrates the ability to quickly remove gear in shallow water.

    Additional qualifications earned:

    Intermediate Water Survival (WSI):

    Builds on the Water Survival Basic (WSB) qualification.

    Includes events in deep water, such as a 20-second gear shed.

    Advanced Water Survival (WSA):

    Focuses on advanced water survival techniques.

    Emphasizes active victim rescue skills.
