Brig. Gen. Kevin Collins, commanding general of 3rd Marine Logistics Group, sixth from left, and Sgt. Maj. Dennis Turner, sergeant major of 3rd MLG, fifth from right, stand with leadership from various directorates that made up the 3rd MLG battle staff during recent U.S. and Republic of Korea military exercises that occurred throughout South Korea from February to April, 2025. These exercises, the 3rd MLG-specific Freedom Banner, the III Marine Expeditionary Force Korean Marine Exchange Program, and the United States Forces Korea exercise Freedom Shield, are semi-annual exercises that provide iterative opportunities for ROK Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps units to train together, improving their combined capabilities to deter threats and maintain peace on the Korean Peninsula.
