PENSACOLA, Fla. - Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola Commanding Officer Capt. Chandra Newman visits children at the NAS Pensacola Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR)-run Child Development Center (CDC) on the air station April 10 in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month. During her visit, Newman read a book to students and signed a National Child Abuse Prevention Month Proclamation. Observed each April, Child Abuse Prevention Month is designed to recognize the importance of preventing child abuse and the commitment to bringing awareness to the resources available for those affected.
