Members of the LEAD San Diego program posed with Col. Eugene N. Apicella, center, after touring Camp Pendleton to learn more about the Marine Corps and how they can contribute to the military as senior leaders in their communities, April 5. LEAD San Diego visited various units and met many senior leaders like Apicella, who is the deputy commander of MCB Camp Pendleton, Marine Corps Installations-West. LEAD San Diego is a program that engages, develops and mobilizes diverse groups of current and emerging San Diego leaders to help them better understand the region, grow their personal skills and connect with other members to accomplish great things as civic and community trailblazers.
