Sfc. Steven Merrill of the 864th Engineer Battalion, CENTCOM Command Materiel Recovery Element, uses a 10k Forklift to deconstruct a wood building in Paktika province, Afghanistan. The soldiers and airmen of "Task Force Pacemakers" are working industriously at multiple bases throughout eastern Afghanistan to provide critical engineer support to base closures and the responsible retrograde of U.S. forces.
