Fort McCoy has supported many national defense missions, including Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle and New Dawn. The training provided at Fort McCoy provides soldiers with realistic combat environment simulations that ensure the operational readiness of American servicemen and women. More than 140,000 military personnel from 49 states and two territories have mobilized and demobilized at Fort McCoy since Sept. 11, 2001.
