Marine veteran Cpl. Manuel Jimenez of New Britain, Conn., sprints during the final lap of the 1500m upper body disability finals at the 2013 Warrior Games track and field event aboard the U.S. Air Force Academy, May 14, 2013. Jimenez of New Britain, Conn., placed first in the competition winning a gold medal. The above the arm amputee was injured while deployed to Marjah, Afghanistan. He will also compete in cycling and swimming during the Games. The Warrior Games are a Paralympic-style competition for wounded, ill or injured service members or veterans of U.S. and British armed services.
