Marine veteran Sgt. Anthony McDaniel from Pascagoula, Miss., speeds toward the finish line during the men's 100m wheelchair finals at the 2013 Warrior Games track and field event aboard the U.S. Air Force Academy May 14, 2013. McDaniel, 25, from Pascagoula, Miss., placed first in the competition. The bilateral amputee was injured while conducting a dismounted patrol during his deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan. He will also compete in wheelchair basketball. The Warrior Games are a Paralympic-style competition for wounded, ill or injured service members or veterans of U.S. and British armed services.
