Staff Sgt. Dominic Gonzales, 1st Battalion, 133rd Field Artillery Regiment, Texas Army National Guard, gets his running pace count as he prepares for the land navigation portion of the NGB Region V Best Warrior Competition held at Camp Swift, Texas, May 7 to 9, 2013. Soldiers from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas competed in this year's competition. Winners of the event will move forward to compete against other regions for the National NGB title. Gonzales was recognized as overall NCO winner at the conclusion of the event.
