Lance Cpl. Robert A. Weimer recovers from surgery at U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa May 9 after suffering a complex leg fracture during training at the Jungle Warfare Training Center, Camp Gonsalves. Following the injury, Weimer was medically evacuated to USNH Okinawa. Weimer is a rifleman with 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, which is currently assigned to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
