An MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, currently attached to Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response, parked on the flight line of Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy, June, 4, 2013. Special-Purpose MAGTF CR is a rotational contingent of approximately 500 Marines and Sailors sourced from a variety of units to include II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. The unit is capable of responding across a broad range of military operations and will provide limited defense crisis response in support of U.S. Embassies in the region, to support non-combatant evacuation operations, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief operations or provide tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel.
