Iraqi civilians carry out a normal day, while the Marines of Company F (not shown), 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 1, provide security during a patrol in Karma, Iraq, March 6. U.S. Marines with Company F are conducting security patrols to prevent enemy freedom of movement. RCT-1 is deployed with Multi National Force-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the al Anbar Province of Iraq to develop Iraqi security forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
