Soldiers with the 66th Military Intelligence Brigade spent a week in the sand dunes training with Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical - Terminals or SMART-T. The units provide tactical users with secure, survivable, anti-jam, satellite communications in a humvee configuration using equipment to communicate at extremely high frequency and processes data and voice communications at both low and medium EHF data rates. SMART-Ts are being modified to communicate over advanced EHF satellite, which significantly increases data rates for future tactical communications networks.
