Linda Kearney, and her son Matthew Kearney, both from Austin, Texas, receive instruction from a retired Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer on how to use the damage control trainer. The trainer requires you to patch holes in the vessel before it floods. This is the first Scout Jamboree for the Kearneys. Members of the Coast Guard are attending this year's Jamboree and are educating scouts in boating safety and search and rescue. U.S. Coast Guard photo by Chief Warrant Officer Russell Tippets
