A Regal Fritillary sips nectar from an orange milkweed, also known as a butterfly milkweed, (asclepias tuberosa). The Regal’s habitat has been diminished over the last 30 years, but Fort Indiantown Gap’s ranges provide a natural grassland habitat allowing the butterflies to flourish.
