The Joint Security Area holds the Barrett-Bonifas Memorial Ceremony on Camp Bonifas, Aug. 16. The ceremony was to remember the two officers, Capt. Arthur Bonifas, the Joint Security Force company commander and 1st Lt. Mark Barrett, the 1st Platoon Leader, who lost their lives during the Axe Murder Incident by north Korean soldiers 37 years ago. The 210th Fires Brigade inherits their patriotism, warrior spirit, and maintains combat readiness posture to “Fight Tonight” and strengthens the ROK-U.S. alliance to protect South Korea.
